Keep the birding going with three unforgettable days exploring Los Angeles and Orange Counties, home to one of North America's most remarkable concentrations of established exotic birds.

From colorful parrots and parakeets to coastal wetlands, botanical gardens, oak woodlands, and iconic Southern California specialties, this tour has been designed to showcase a completely different side of birding in Southern California.

Over three days, we'll search for as many of the region's fascinating exotic species as possible while visiting premier birding destinations including Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, Malibu Creek State Park, The Huntington, Los Angeles County Arboretum, and the Pasadena parrot roost.

One of the highlights comes at sunset on our first evening, when hundreds of parrots representing multiple species can gather around Pasadena's winter roost, filling the evening sky with color, sound, and motion.

Along the way, we'll also explore Southern California's coastal wetlands and native habitats for shorebirds, waterfowl, raptors, and regional specialties.

This is a 3-day, 2-night tour, with two nights of lodging in Pasadena. Group size is limited to 6-12 participants, allowing for a fun, focused birding experience with expert California guides.

We will also search for native Southern California specialties and seasonal birds throughout the tour, including species such as Oak Titmouse, Wrentit, Acorn Woodpecker, Wandering Tattler, Ruddy Turnstone, Black Turnstone, wintering waterfowl, shorebirds, and more.
